WHEN THERE'S
NOWHERE ELSE TO TURN

You stare blankly at your phone, shattered by the social worker's words:
"Your mother is being discharged from the hospital in 48 hours."
Your mother can no longer live alone and has been referred to hospice care. Yet, every assisted living facility you've called quoted prices that felt like a cruel joke, thousands more than your entire monthly income.

Medicaid is still months away, when you don't even have days.

There are no savings left to drain, no extra room to take her into your own home; it seems there is no other safe place for your mother to go.

WHAT DO YOU DO?

THE NEED IS REAL

Our Vision

MASH (Marvel Allies for Senior Housing) offers complimentary professional consultation and expert guidance to assist Clark County families in finding safe housing for their aging loved ones. We strive to bridge the gap during crisis moments, coordinating placements and funding dedicated ‘crisis beds’ so no senior is left without resources due to financial limitations, timing, or lack of support system at end-of-life. Our mission is to make senior placement dignified, transparent, and affordable for the families we serve.

Our
Story

One day, while looking through a healthcare group on Facebook, I saw a hospice provider asking for help. A homeless gentleman named Jim was nearing the end of his life, and his final wish was simple: he did not want to spend his last days in a homeless shelter.

Jim could not afford assisted living, so the hospice provider reached out in hopes that someone with a care home would open their doors. I immediately offered to welcome and care for him at no cost.

When I met Jim, he reminded me of the kindhearted character from the movie Up. He was one of the sweetest and most appreciative people I have ever known. During our many conversations, I learned about his life—how he was born and raised in Detroit and how much he loved the West Coast. The ocean and beaches brought him a sense of peace and tranquility.

It was a privilege to provide Jim with a safe, comfortable home and compassionate care during his final days. His story is a powerful reminder that every person deserves dignity, kindness, and a place to call home—especially at the end of life.

These are the people who need our help, our hearts, and our compassion. I will never forget Jim. He will always hold a very special place in my heart.

Together, we can ensure that no senior faces life’s most difficult moments alone.

Care Levels and Costs

Senior living is a diverse ecosystem designed to support older adults as their health and lifestyle needs change over time. Choosing the right setting can feel overwhelming for families, as care ranges from independent communities focused on social connection to highly specialized medical environments.
